Beyonce having fun showing off pregnancy

Singer Beyonce showed off her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards and has been enjoying the experience.
Now that she's got a baby on board, Beyonce is more bootylicious than ever -- and damn proud of it, too!
The first-time mom-to-be, 30, opened up for the very first time about her pregnancy as she and her mom, Tina Knowles, chatted up the launch of their House of Dereon fashion line in London.

Married to Jay-Z for three years, the "Love on Top" singer told CNN UK that dressing her baby bump is a joy -- not a pain.

"I am having so much fun, it has been the most fun time now that it has been announced," explained the Grammy winner, who announced her pregancy Aug. 28 on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in L.A., revealing her baby bump onstage hours later.

"It was really difficult to conceal," admits the curvy star. "But now... I can be proud and excited about it, I'm having so much fun shopping -- it's great!"

House of Dereon doesn't have a maternity yet, per se, but Beyonce (who has worn leather shorts, a white bikini and plenty of sequins since announcing her news) explained in the interview, "what I'm wearing today is part of the collection; it's not supposed to be [maternity wear], but it actually is really good for the maternity...we do have some things that I am still trying to rock!"

And grandmother Tina Knowles (whose younger daughter Solange Knowles has a 5-year-old son, Julez) is celebrating, too.

"I am so delighted," she told CNN UK. "I'm over the moon."

Gunmen storm bar near Burundi capital, kill 36

Gunmen from neighboring Congo killed 36 people in a late-night attack at a pub in Burundi, an official from the central African nation said Monday.

Bujumbura province governor Jacques Minami said that the attackers descended on the pub west of Burundi's capital Sunday night.

He said the attackers had crossed the river from Congo.
Survivor Jackson Kabura, who was wounded in the stomach, said the men entered wearing fatigues: "One of them said, 'Kill them all, kill them all. Make sure there's no survivors.'"

President Pierre Nkurunziza has declared three days of mourning. Burundi suffered a 16-year civil war that only ended in 2009 when its remaining rebel groups demobilized.

"The persons who were brutally assassinated were our brothers and sisters," Nkurunziza said.
"I promise that those criminals will be arrested and brought to justice," he told a crowd in the town of Gatumba, the scene of the attack, outside the capital Bujumbura.

Girl says she was held, raped in Brazil men's jail

A 14-year-old girl has told police she was held and raped for four days by inmates after being taken inside a men's prison in northern Brazil.

The girl escaped early Saturday and sought help from a jail guard, who took her to the police, said Fabiano Amazonas, head of the juvenile division of police in Para state.

The director of Heleno Fragoso prison and 19 other people working there between Friday night and Saturday morning have been fired, Aycha Nunes, spokeswoman for the Para prison system, said. The decision became official Monday.

The teenager has testified she was drugged, beaten and taken by a woman along with two other teenagers into the prison, which is 26 miles (42 kilometers) from the state capital, Belem.
Amazonas said he believes the girl was taken into the prison by someone intending to charge prisoners money to have sex with her.

"She said she was abused by several inmates inside the prison, but managed to escape," he said.
Investigators are trying to determine who took the teenager into the prison, who allowed her entry, who participated in the alleged assault, and whether there were other girls involved.

On Saturday, the girl was handed over to the police's juvenile division, where she testified. She was also taken to a hospital so she could be examined for evidence, Amazonas said. The girl was then housed in a shelter.

The state's governor, Simao Jatene, ordered a wall built around the prison to increase security, according to a press statement issued Monday. The penitentiary works on a semi-open regimen, with inmates free to leave during the day. There is no fence, and the back of the building is surrounded by jungle.

The federal prosecutor's office in Belem said it has started an administrative investigation to learn where the system failed and prevent cases like this from happening again.

"The facts show a violation of human dignity, a disrespect of the basic rights of this child, a serious violation of human rights," said the regional federal prosecutor for civil rights, Alan Mansur Silva.
It is not the first case of a girl allegedly being abused inside a men's prison in Para state.

In 2007, a teenage girl arrested on petty theft charges was locked up in a jail cell with 21 men for nearly a month in Abaetetuba, a city of 78,000 people outside Belem. She was forced to have sex with them in exchange for food and was released only after her case was reported by local media.

The case shocked Brazilians, and then-Gov. Ana Julia Carepa told The Associated Press at the time that the practice of locking women up with men, while illegal, was not uncommon.

Carepa also said she was aware of the "unfortunate practice" of putting young women in cells with men purposely for the male prisoners' sexual gratification. Carepa then said this wouldn't be allowed to happen again.

1.3 million urged to evacuate as typhoon nears Japan

Residents wade through a flooded street caused by an approaching typhoon in Nagoya, Japan, on Tuesday.
A major hurricane that could hit Tokyo or Kyoto overnight has already triggered floods, left two people missing and forced officials to urge 1.3 million people in central Japan to evacuate.
Typhoon Roke could make landfall closer to Kyoto Tuesday night if it moves to the west of the forecast track, Rick Knabb, The Weather Channel's tropical weather expert, told NBC News.
"If it goes right at Tokyo, landfall near there might be roughly 2-4 a.m. ET," he added. "If it goes far enough right of track, the center could miss Japan altogether, but still with significant effects there."

Public broadcaster NHK said about 1.3 million people have been advised to leave their homes due to rising rivers. In the city of Moriyama, 80,000 residents were ordered to evacuate.
Heavy rains as the storm approached caused floods and road damage in dozens of locations in Nagoya and several other cities, the Aichi state government said.
Television footage showed Nagoya residents wading through water up to their knees. In parts of the city near swollen rivers, rescue workers helped residents evacuate in rubber boats.
Police in nearby Gifu prefecture said a 9-year-old boy and an 84-year-old man were missing after apparently falling into swollen rivers.

The Meteorological Agency said the typhoon was located off the southern coast of Japan's southwestern main island of Shikoku on Tuesday night with winds of 110 miles per hour.
A typhoon that slammed Japan earlier this month left about 90 people dead or missing.
